After years of dedicated research and development, we are excited to announce that the Reef Cutter, specifically designed to suit the Bokoni Reef characteristics, is now entering its on-site trial phase. We are currently constructing the support infrastructure at Wintersveld, which is scheduled for completion by 3 November 2025. This will be followed by the commissioning phase, set to be completed by 10 November 2025. The Mobile Tunnel Borer (MTB) will be delivered thereafter, with assembly to begin immediately upon arrival. The commissioning of the MTB is expected to be completed by 17 November 2025. Following commissioning, the drilling phase will commence, targeting a total advance of 300 metres. This phase will test and validate the advance capabilities of the MTB in real mining conditions. The Reef Cutter is scheduled for delivery in February 2026, with assembly to begin soon after.
