Mogabane Mobile Clinic brings Healthcare Closer to Rural Communities

The Mogabane Mobile Clinic will serve as a health service centre in the Umkwanastaad area, which includes Monametsana, Maruping, Mogabane and Shole villages.  These villages are located approximately 32 kilometres from the nearest clinic and have faced challenges in accessing basic healthcare.Previously, the Department of Health was providing health services through a mobile clinic under a tree. This was a concern as it did not provide dignity and privacy for community residents. To address this issue, BPM, in partnership with the Department of Health, embarked on a journey of restoring dignity to residents of the mining community through the provision of immediate and accessible health services. The clinic is fully constructed and ready for use, although it is not yet open for operation.
