Building Self-Sustainable Communities through Agricultural Training Programmes

Bokoni Platinum Mines (BPM) is committed to fostering sustainable development within our mining communities. In partnership with a local community development training centre, we launched a three-month agricultural training initiative aimed at empowering the youth from the surrounding areas. This programme, aligned with NQF Level 2 standards, successfully equipped fourteen (14) participants with essential skills in plant production through a blend of theoretical instruction and practical experience.

We believe in the potential of local youth to drive growth and self-sustainability. By investing in agricultural education, BPM aims to empower these young individuals to thrive in the sector and contribute to the economic development of their communities, fostering resilience and progress beyond mining.
